📧RFC822

An overview of RFC822 / Message MIME Subtype Format.

RFC822 Messages

RFC822 is a standard format for email messages. It specifies the structure of an email message, including the headers and body of the message. The header contains information such as the sender's email address, the recipient's email address, the subject of the email, and the date and time the message was sent.

RFC822 was created and evolved to become the standard format for an email message. This typically involves creating a plain text file that includes the header and body of the email message. The header should include the required fields such as From, To, Subject, and Date.

Hello,

This is an example email message.

Best regards,
Sender

This first known example of an RFC822 message via the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol, is Inscription #284485.

Although the structure and conventions of the RFC822 subtype format was used as a starting point, it had always been planned to further modified it using syntax to fit the Ordinals protocol and create the Ordinals Mail Standard.
